  • Round 1: Open to all NEET-qualified candidates who register within the given window; the first and largest round of seat allotment
  • Round 2: Open to candidates not allotted a seat in Round 1, as well as new registrants; fresh choice filling takes place
  • Mop-Up Round: Conducted for seats still vacant after Round 2, usually with a revised list of available colleges and courses
  • Stray Vacancy Round: The final round, conducted for any seats still vacant after the Mop-Up round, typically with reporting done directly at the college level

UP NEET UG Counselling Fees 2026

DGME UP has officially confirmed the following registration fee and security deposit structure for Round 1 of UP NEET UG Counselling 2026:

Fee TypeAmount
Registration Fee (Non-refundable)Rs. 2,000
Security Deposit – Government Medical/Dental CollegesRs. 30,000
Security Deposit – Private Medical CollegesRs. 2,00,000
Security Deposit – Private Dental CollegesRs. 1,00,000
Note: Candidates who wish to be eligible for both government and private seats must pay the higher applicable security deposit. The security deposit is refundable and will be returned to the same bank account used for payment, after completion of all counselling rounds, subject to applicable rules. It is not adjusted against tuition fees.

Choice Filling & Free Exit Rules (Round 1)

  • Candidates must fill choices only for colleges/courses they are genuinely willing to join, arranged strictly in order of preference
  • Once choices are locked, they cannot be modified or rearranged – DGME UP will not entertain requests for changes to locked choices
  • Candidates who fail to lock their choices will be automatically removed from the seat allotment process
  • Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 will be provided a free-exit facility – if admission is not taken after Round 1 allotment, the security deposit will be refunded
  • Candidates allotted seats in government colleges must complete admission formalities at the respective allotted institute

Tips for Filling Choices Wisely

  • Research each college’s fee structure, location, and infrastructure before adding it to your list
  • Arrange choices strictly by genuine preference – the system allots the highest-ranked choice available, not the “safest” one
  • Avoid listing colleges you are unwilling to join purely to keep options open, since choices cannot be edited once locked
  • Keep a copy of your locked choices for reference before the allotment result is declared

How to Check UP NEET UG Seat Allotment Result

  • Visit the official website: upneet.gov.in
  • Log in using your registered credentials (roll number/application number and password)
  • Navigate to the “Seat Allotment Result” or “Round 1 Result” section once declared
  • Download the provisional seat allotment letter as a PDF
  • Verify the allotted college, course, and category details carefully before proceeding to reporting

Withdrawal & Refund Policy

Candidates who wish to exit the counselling process or upgrade their allotted seat should keep the following in mind:

  • Freeze: Accepting and freezing an allotted seat generally ends further participation in later rounds
  • Float/Upgrade: Candidates can choose to float their allotted seat to remain eligible for an upgrade in the next round, subject to availability and merit
  • Withdrawal Window: A limited withdrawal window is typically provided after early rounds, during which the security deposit may be refunded; withdrawing after this window, or after reporting to a college, usually results in forfeiture of the deposit
  • Candidates should always check the exact freeze/float/withdrawal rules in the official DGME UP notification for 2026, as these can be revised from the previous cycle

Documents Required

Candidates allotted a seat in UP NEET UG 2026 Counselling must carry the following documents to complete admission formalities:

  • Class 10 Certificate
  • Class 12 Certificate and Mark Sheet
  • NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
  • NEET UG 2026 Result/Scorecard
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile Certificate (for Uttar Pradesh candidates only)
  • Certificate of Subcategory, if applicable
  • ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, etc.)

After receiving the allotment letter, candidates must pay the centralized advance tuition fee as instructed and report in person to the allotted college within the specified timeframe, carrying all original documents.

After Receiving Your Allotment Letter

  • Pay Fees: Follow the instructions in the letter and on the university website to pay the centralized advance tuition fee
  • Report to College: Visit the allotted college in person within the specified timeframe, carrying all original documents

Common Mistakes to Avoid During Registration

  • Entering incorrect NEET roll number or application number at login, which can block access to the account
  • Using a mobile number or email ID not regularly checked, since all official communication is sent only to the registered contact details
  • Uploading blurred or incorrectly sized documents, which can cause rejection at verification
  • Missing the fee and security deposit deadline, resulting in automatic exclusion from choice filling
  • Delaying registration until the last day, risking payment gateway or server delays
