If you’re a first-time NEET candidate, the process may seem overwhelming, but don’t worry we’ve broken it down into a simple step-by-step guide to help you register smoothly for NEET Counselling 2025.
What is NEET Counselling?
NEET UG Counselling is the official process through which qualified students are allotted MBBS, BDS and other medical seats in India. The counselling is conducted by:
- Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for:
- 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats
- Deemed & Central Universities
- AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, AFMC, etc.
- State Counselling Authorities for:
- 85% State Quota seats
- Private and government colleges within the respective state

Step-by-Step Guide to Register for NEET UG 2025 Counselling
✅ Step 1: Visit the Official MCC Website
Go to www.mcc.nic.in. This is the only official website for NEET UG All India Counselling.
✅ Step 2: Click on ‘UG Medical Counselling’
Once the homepage opens, click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ section. You will find a link for ‘New Registration’.
✅ Step 3: Register Yourself
Fill in the following details as per your NEET 2025 scorecard:
- NEET Roll Number
- Application Number
- Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID
- Security Captcha Code
Submit the form to receive your login credentials.
✅ Step 4: Login and Fill Counselling Application
Use your registered credentials to log in. Fill in the required details like:
- Personal details (Category, Nationality, Address)
- Academic information (Class 10, 12 details)
- NEET marks, percentile, and rank
✅ Step 5: Pay the Registration Fee
The counselling fee depends on your category and choice of college type:
- AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities:
- General: ₹1,000
- SC/ST/OBC: ₹500
- Deemed Universities Security Deposit: ₹2,00,000
- AIQ/Central Universities Security Deposit: ₹10,000
You can pay via Net Banking, UPI, Debit/Credit Card.
✅ Step 6: Choose and Lock Colleges
Once registration is complete, proceed to “Choice Filling & Locking”:
- Select your preferred colleges and courses
- Arrange them in order of priority
- Lock your choices before the deadline
Tip: Research colleges and cut-offs before locking choices.
✅ Step 7: Wait for Seat Allotment
After the deadline, MCC will process seat allotment based on:
- NEET rank
- Reservation criteria
- College preferences
Login to download your seat allotment letter once results are announced.
✅ Step 8: Report to the Allotted College
If you’re allotted a seat:
- Download the allotment letter
- Report to the college with all required documents and original certificates
- Pay admission fees and complete joining formalities
If not allotted, you can participate in the next round.
