Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2022 Counselling

  • Only NEET-UG 2022 qualified applicants are eligible to apply for NEET Counselling.

Central University Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2022 Counselling

Counselling for 15% All India Quota

  • The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India, will hold the Counselling for 15% of All India Quota Seats.
  • All deemed central state universities will participate in online counselling.
  • This counselling will also fill seats of ESIC and AFMC, BHU & AMU.
  • Candidates will apply for 15% All India Quota seats per the directions of DGHS, and Counselling will be stopped soon as the seats are filled.
  • Through this counselling, candidates can get enrolled in any of the medical colleges in India.
  • Those candidates who participate in All India Counselling can also participate in State Counselling of their respective states.

Counselling Process (AIQ Quota)

Candidates applying for Medical/Dental Colleges in India must register for the AIQ NEET counselling 2022. Counselling of NEET for All India Quota will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps.

  1. Candidate Registration: Register on the official website.
  2. Choice Filling and Locking (Round 1): You have to choose the courses and colleges of your preference and finally lock in the preferences in the online portal.
  3. Seat Allotment Result (Round 1): The seat allotment will be published online based on available vacancies and candidates’ choices.
  4. Reporting to college: Those who will be allotted a seat in the first round will be required to either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.
  5. New Registration (Round 2): For candidates who couldn’t register in the first round of counselling.
  6. Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2): This is similar to round 1 mentioned above.
  7. Seat Allotment Result (Round 2): This is similar to round 1 mentioned above.
  8. Reporting to college (Round 2): Here, it is to be noted that those who will be allotted a seat in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) will not be permitted to vacate their seats as per the orders made by the Supreme court of India.

A. If an applicant forgets to lock the saved choices, the system will automatically consider these choices during the seat allotment list. However, candidates are advised to check the options filled and submit the same within the stipulated time.

Q. Can I go to counselling in 2022 with 200 NEET marks? Pls, answer?

A. No, you are not eligible because there is no such provision by the NTA or MCC like this. For NEET 2022 counselling, you must be qualified the exam of NEET 2022, which will be conducted on July 17.

Q. When will the registration for the first round of NEET 2022 counselling begin?

A. Registrations for the first round of MCC counselling 2022 will begin tentatively in mid-October.

Q. Can I apply to AIIMS through the MCC counselling of NEET 2022?

A.Yes, you can apply to AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU and other medical colleges through NEET counselling.

Q. What is meant by Free Exit for NEET counselling?

A. If a candidate is allotted a seat in round one of NEET counselling but fails to report to the institute allocated within the designated duration, they shall not be penalised for it. The candidate will be eligible to participate in the next round of counselling. This is called ‘Free Exit’.
