Jamshedpur – Rohit Kumar, a determined youth from Jamshedpur who sells mobile covers for a living, has successfully cleared the NEET UG 2025 exam with 549 marks out of 720, securing All India Rank 12,484. His inspiring journey has become a symbol of perseverance and hard work.
This was Rohit’s second attempt. In NEET 2024, he had scored 485 marks. Coming from a humble background, his father sells vegetables while his mother is a homemaker. After Class 10, Rohit started working at a medical store to support his family financially during the COVID-19 pandemic. That experience sparked his interest in the field of medicine.
Rohit said, “I was part of Alakh Sir’s Yakeen 2.0 batch at PhysicsWallah. He not only taught us subjects but also gave us the courage to dream big.” He also credited his elder brother as his mentor and guide, who first introduced him to NEET and constantly motivated him.

Rohit’s journey touched many hearts when a video surfaced showing Physics Wallah’s founder, Alakh Pandey, personally visiting Rohit’s mobile cover stall to congratulate him. Rohit had been part of the ‘Ummeed’ batch, a free NEET coaching programme by Physics Wallah for underprivileged aspirants.
Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) recently declared the NEET UG 2025 results for MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH admissions. Over 20 lakh candidates appeared for the exam held on May 4, 2025.
