MCC Round 1 Choice Filling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has once again extended the choice-filling deadline for NEET UG 2025 Counselling Round 1. As per the earlier schedule issued on August 8, the Round 1 seat allotment result was expected on August 11, 2025, but a notice on mcc.nic.in confirms that candidates can now fill and lock their choices until 11:59 PM tonight.

This extension means the allotment results will not be released today, and a revised date is awaited.

“Dear Candidates, Choice filling facility for Round 1 has been extended till Monday Dated (11.08.2025) at 11:59 PM,” the MCC message reads.

This means the Round 1 seat allotment results will not be declared today, as the process cannot proceed until all candidate choices are finalised and locked.

NEET UG Seat Allotment Result Delayed

The MCC has not yet released a revised date for the declaration of the Round 1 allotment results. Aspirants will have to wait for the updated counselling schedule, which is expected to be posted on the MCC website in the coming days.

Once released, the Round 1 seat allotment list will determine which candidates have secured admission to MBBS and BDS seats in medical and dental colleges across India under the All India Quota (AIQ), deemed universities, central universities, and participating state institutions.

Next Steps After Allotment

After the results are announced, candidates allotted seats must:

  • Download their allotment order from the MCC website.
  • Report to the allotted institution within the stipulated time frame.
  • Complete admission formalities, including document verification.

Following this, colleges will verify the list of admitted candidates and upload the data to the MCC portal. Only then will the counselling process move on to Round 2.

Multiple Date Extensions Raise Concerns

The repeated MCC NEET UG 2025 counselling delays have frustrated many aspirants and parents, who have taken to social media to urge the government and MCC to streamline the counselling process.

Several users have said that the prolonged uncertainty is disrupting preparation and admission plans, particularly for those considering private or overseas medical colleges as backup options.

The NEET UG 2025 counselling process will consist of four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Vacancy round.

The second round is expected to commence soon after the completion of Round 1 admission formalities.

For now, NEET UG aspirants are advised to complete their choice filling by tonight’s deadline and monitor the MCC website closely for further updates.
