New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India, has released an important notice for NRI candidates participating in the 2025 undergraduate (MBBS/BDS) counselling. The announcement follows the earlier notice dated September 26, 2025, and provides a detailed list of candidates found eligible for NRI quota seats after document verification.
According to the MCC, the seat allotment under the NRI category will be carried out based on a two-tier priority system:
- Priority 1 (Annexure I): NRI candidates and children of NRIs
- Priority 2 (Annexure II): First- and second-degree relatives of NRI wards
The allotment will proceed sequentially, with Priority 1 candidates receiving preference, followed by Priority 2 candidates, subject to seat availability.

The MCC has emphasized that the published list is provisional, and candidates must produce original documents such as proof of NRI status and relationship certificates at the time of reporting to their allotted colleges. Failure to provide valid documentation could lead to cancellation of the seat allotment.
The notice, approved by the competent authority, includes hundreds of eligible candidates whose Indian nationality has been provisionally converted to NRI status for the purpose of NEET UG counselling 2025-26. MCC has cautioned that admission for these candidates remains conditional until document verification at the reporting college is completed.
