NMC Reopens Portal for Eligibility Certificate Applications: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced an additional window for students to apply for the Eligibility Certificate through its Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB).
According to an official notice issued by the commission, candidates who missed the earlier deadline due to technical issues will now get another opportunity to submit their applications online. The application portal will reopen on April 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM and will remain accessible until April 13, 2026, 6:00 PM.
The move comes after multiple representations from students who were unable to complete their submissions within the previously decided deadline of March 31, 2026. Taking into account the academic and career implications, the Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) decided to extend the timeline.
Officials have emphasized that this is a one-time additional opportunity, and no further extensions will be provided. Candidates are strongly advised to complete their applications well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical glitches.
The commission also clarified that incomplete applications will be rejected outright, and applicants must carefully fill out all required details to prevent delays caused by discrepancies or missing information. The process of issuing the Eligibility Certificate involves multiple verification stages as per regulatory guidelines.
Students have been urged to regularly monitor their registered email IDs and the official portal for updates regarding their application status.
The notice was issued under the authority of Dr. Raghav Langer, Secretary of the NMC, highlighting the commission’s intent to support candidates while maintaining procedural integrity.
