Telangana to Recruit 1,651 Medical Faculty After NMC Notice to 26 Colleges
The health department in Hyderabad will hire 1,323 assistant professors and 328 associate professors to fix the shortage of teaching staff. This step comes after the National Medical Commission sent show-cause notices to 26 out of 34 medical colleges in the state.

HYDERABAD: To address faculty shortages, the health department will recruit 1,323 assistant professors and 328 associate professors, announced by Director of Medical Education (DME) A. Narendra Kumar on Tuesday.
He also stated that an action plan is being developed to fix gaps in medical colleges, after 26 out of 34 colleges received show-cause notices from the National Medical Commission (NMC).
In response, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed health officials to create a detailed plan to resolve these issues. Additionally, the DME has ordered principals of medical colleges and affiliated hospitals to relieve doctors working on deputation and ensure they return to their original postings.
