According to the university, some candidates under Management Quota had opted for both NRI Quota and NRI Lapsed category simultaneously. NTRUHS has now clarified the process for these candidates:

• Candidates found eligible for NRI Category after document verification will be considered for NRI Category seats only.
• Candidates found ineligible for NRI Category due to non-submission of required documents will be considered for NRI Lapsed category seats in Phase-III (Mop-Up) or subsequent counselling phases – subject to re-uploading of a Notarized Affidavit as per the notification.
• The document-uploading facility for either NRI Category or NRI Lapsed Category will be allowed only after Phase-I/Phase-II allotments this year, due to a delay in release of the Management Quota (NRI Category) counselling procedure by the Government. The university has clarified this arrangement is a one-time exception and will not set a precedent for future years or for Competent Authority Quota counselling.
