Bihar UGMAC 2026 Round 2 Counselling Schedule Released

Patna: The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the Round-2 Online Counselling Schedule for Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC)-2026, along with a notice on resignation/withdrawal from Round-1 allotted seats. As per a letter from the Health Department, Bihar (No. 1246(1), dated 10.09.2026), the following institutions have been newly added, along with some additional seats in various private medical colleges:

  • Sriram Janki Medical College & Hospital, Samastipur (New Government Medical College)
  • Government Medical College, Chapra (Saran) (New Government Medical College)
  • Kurma Sanskriti Medical College & Hospital, Kurma, Jehanabad (New Private Medical College)

The updated seat matrix reflecting these additions has been uploaded on the Board’s website.

Who Can Apply in Round 2

Online Registration and Application-cum-Choice Filling are invited from qualified, eligible NEET (UG) 2026 candidates who had not duly submitted their application earlier (under Adv. No. 2026/01 & 2026/02, dated 07.08.2026), to enable them to participate in this round based on the UGMAC-2026 merit list.

Key Rules for Round-1 Candidates

The notice lays down detailed provisions for candidates who participated in Round-1 counselling:

  • Freeze candidates of Round-1 must give consent to participate in Round-2 by logging into their account with NEET (UG) 2026 Roll Number and Password
  • Freeze and Float candidates may edit their previously filled choices for Round-2, but cannot remove or delete their Round-1 allotted choice from the list – though they can swap its position. Such candidates cannot edit their Application Form data
  • Freeze candidates who completed document verification, took admission, but did not resign/withdraw within the scheduled period, and did not give consent for Round-2, will be treated as admitted candidates
  • Float candidates who do not edit their previously filled choices will have their Round-2 seat allotment done based on those same previous choices
  • Candidates who resign (Freeze) or withdraw (Float) their Round-1 allotted seat within the schedule, or who are treated as “Free Exit,” must log in and fill fresh choices for Round-2 – their previous choices become “Null & Void.” Such candidates also get the facility to edit their Application Form data
  • Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round-1 may also edit their previously filled choices and Application Form data

Fee and Consent Rules

If any candidate edits/corrects their application data leading to an additional fee condition, they will need to re-pay the full Counselling Fee and Security Deposit afresh; their previously paid amount will be refunded through the same payment mode used earlier. Consent for Round-2 will be authenticated through login password and OTP sent to the registered mobile number/email ID. Candidates will not be allowed to edit core details such as Name, Father’s/Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Domicile Quota (DQ), Mobile Number, Email ID, or Proof of Identity during this correction process.
