The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Puducherry, has released the CENTAC 2026-27 Information Brochure for admission to undergraduate NEET-based courses. The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) will conduct counselling for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BVSc & A.H. programmes in Puducherry through a single online application process.
Courses and Seats Covered
CENTAC counselling covers admission to the following NEET UG courses across government and private institutions in the Union Territory of Puducherry:

Across all courses, a total of approximately 1,344 seats will be filled, including seats reserved under the All India Quota (AIQ), which are allotted separately by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

How the Application Process Works
- Register on the official CENTAC website, www.centacpuducherry.in, using a valid mobile number and e-mail ID.
- Log in and complete the online application by entering personal and academic details.
- Upload the required documents in the specified format and size.
- Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
- Submit course preferences once the fee payment is confirmed.
Candidates can apply under one or more quotas – Government Quota (GQ), Management Quota (MQ), or NRI Quota – but new quotas cannot be added after the application deadline.

Eligibility Highlights
- Candidates must hold a valid NEET UG 2026 rank to be considered for counselling.
- Minimum qualifying marks in Class 12 are 50% for unreserved and EWS candidates, and 40% for OBC/MBC/EBC/BCM/SC/ST/BT/PwD candidates.
- The minimum age is 17 years as on 31 December 2026, with no upper age limit for MBBS and BDS.
- Residents of Puducherry, other-state candidates, and NRI/OCI/Foreign National candidates are eligible under their respective quota categories.
Counselling Rounds
CENTAC will conduct counselling in four rounds – Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and a Stray Round – with fresh course preferences required for each round. Candidates allotted a seat must report to the allotted college with original documents and the prescribed fee to confirm admission; failing to report within the stipulated time will result in automatic cancellation of the seat.
