Chhattisgarh NEET UG Round 3 Counselling 2026 Schedule Released

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has released the schedule for Round 3 of NEET UG 2026 counselling for MBBS and BDS admission. The notice (No. 1596) is dated September 30, 2026. Fresh registration and choice filling start on October 1, 2026. A separate notice (No. 1595) covers the documents that NRI quota candidates must submit.

The clear vacancy list for Round 3, dated September 28, 2026, shows 424 seats in total across government and private colleges. This is our own count from the published list, so please verify it against the official document.

• MBBS: Of the 200 seats, 37 are in the Government quota, 34 in the Management quota and 129 in the NRI quota. Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences has 50 vacant seats and Abhishek I Mishra Memorial Medical College has 39. Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Science has 31 and Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences has 31.
• BDS: The vacancies are spread across Government Dental College Raipur (34 seats) and private dental colleges in Durg, Bilaspur, Bhilai, Rajnandgaon and Raipur. Maitri College of Dentistry and Research Centre, Durg has the most, with 49 seats.

Important Points for Candidates

• Fresh choice filling is required. Candidates registered earlier must fill their college choices again, because their earlier choices are now empty. Candidates who skip this will not be allotted a seat in Round 3.
• Read the admission rules first. Candidates should study the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental and Physiotherapy Graduate Admission Rules, 2025, before applying. This covers reservation, the counselling process and bond conditions.
• Ineligible candidates cannot register. Candidates who are ineligible under Rule 7(g)(iii) will not be allowed to register in later rounds.
• Extra payment for switching to private colleges. Candidates who earlier chose only government colleges and now want a private college must pay the difference between the registration amount for private colleges and the amount they already paid. They can choose private colleges only after paying it.
• Previously forfeited fees. Candidates who were allotted a private college in Round 2 and did not take admission have already forfeited their fee. They must pay the fee again to take part in this round.
• Editing the form. The edit option is free until the last date of application. Entries taken directly from the NEET result data, along with the candidate’s mobile number and email address, cannot be changed.
• Registration money can be forfeited. If a candidate does not take admission after being allotted a seat, or leaves the seat, the registration amount will be forfeited. The DME advises candidates to choose only the colleges they are willing to join.
• Seat allotment is online. The DME has warned that all allotments are made online by the counselling committee, and candidates should not be misled by any person or institution offering admission.

NRI Quota: Document Submission Rules

Candidates claiming eligibility under the NRI quota must email their documents between October 1, 2026 (11:00 AM) and October 7, 2026 (5:00 PM) to the email address given in the DME notice. The notice lists the address as cgneetugnri2026@gmail.com, which you should verify against the official PDF before publishing.

The subject line of the email must read: “NEET UG 2026 – NRI Quota Document Verification – Candidate Name – NEET Roll Number”.

Documents required:

• A family tree or lineage certificate issued by a tehsildar or higher authority, establishing the relationship between the candidate and the NRI
• The NRI’s passport (self-attested copy)
• Documents showing the NRI’s residence abroad, such as a valid visa, green card, citizenship certificate or proof of residence or work abroad
• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card, if applicable
• NRI, NRE or equivalent bank statement, if applicable
• Work permit or green card, if applicable
• Documents related to the legal guardian, if the NRI claim is made through a guardian
• Any other documents required under Rule 13 of the Admission Rules, 2025

Submission rules:

• All documents must be sent as clear, readable colour scans in one single PDF file, attached in serial order. Black-and-white or unreadable scans will not be accepted.
• Applications and documents received after the deadline will not be considered, and incomplete documents will lead to the NRI claim not being considered.
• Only candidates found eligible will be allotted NRI quota seats. Candidates found ineligible will not lose their application and will stay in the counselling under their other eligible category.
• There is no separate registration or choice filling for NRI candidates. They must complete the normal online registration and choice filling within the schedule above.
• The documents sent by email will be checked against the originals at the time of admission. Wrong, incomplete or misleading documents will lead to action as per the rules.

The DME issued these instructions in line with the Medical Counselling Committee notice dated May 27, 2026 and Rule 13 of the Chhattisgarh Admission Rules, 2025.

2. Register or update your application between October 1 and October 6, 2026.
3. Fill and lock your college choices by October 7, 2026, selecting only colleges you are willing to join.
4. NRI quota candidates should email their single PDF of documents by 5:00 PM on October 7, 2026.
