Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh, has issued the tentative admission schedule for centralized counselling covering MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses for the 2026 session. Candidates applying under the UT Pool, reserved categories and NRI/Foreign Indian Student quota can check the complete timeline below.
Prospectus and Application Form Availability
The prospectus will be available online in PDF format from August 8, 2026, onwards. Application forms can be filled online from August 8 to August 13, 2026, up to 5:30 p.m. The last date for submission of the online application form and fee for all candidates, including Foreign Indian Students/NRIs, is August 13, 2026 (Thursday) by 5:30 p.m.
Eligibility List and Deficiency Correction
GMCH will display the list of provisionally eligible candidates, along with category-wise details and any deficient documents or discrepancies, on August 15, 2026 (Saturday). Candidates with deficiencies must submit the required documents by August 18, 2026 (Tuesday), up to 5:30 p.m. The final list of provisionally eligible candidates, category-wise, will also be displayed on August 18, 2026.

The first counselling will be conducted at the E Block (Academic Block), Government Medical College, Sector 32-A, Chandigarh.
Second Counselling and Further Rounds
Second counselling (for any vacant seats in MBBS, BDS, and BHMS), the mop-up round, commencement of the academic session and the last date for students to join will be notified separately by the college.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Candidates must bring original documents and certificates for scrutiny and submission at the time of counselling.
- A separate set of the online submitted application form must be brought for each course applied for, along with self-attested copies of required certificates and documents.
- Candidates are not required to submit hard copies of the online application form before scrutiny/counselling.
- The schedule is tentative and subject to change by the competent authority, National Medical Commission, or courts, with updates to be notified on the GMCH website
