Candidates Must Visit the Help Center in Person

Candidates who confirmed admission by submitting their original documents at a Help Center and now want to cancel must go in person to the same Help Center where their admission was reported.

If the candidate cannot attend, a parent or representative can go on their behalf, but only with an Authority Letter signed by the candidate. Without it, they will not be allowed to collect the original documents.

Candidates Can Still Take Part in the Next Round

Cancelling does not close the door on counselling. The seat will remain available to the candidate in the subsequent round of admission, and they can participate in the next round of counselling.

Documents Required for Admission Cancellation in Gujarat

Candidates must submit the following before they can collect their original documents:

  • An application to cancel the admission
  • Original admission order of ACPPGMEC
  • Fee receipt or challan (photocopy)
  • Self-attested photocopy of the allotment letter from All India Quota, Deemed or Central Universities, or Other State Counselling. If the candidate has not been admitted anywhere else, an application of cancellation is needed instead.
  • ID proof (photocopy)
  • Authority Letter, if a parent or representative is collecting the documents

Authority Letter Rules

The authority letter is available on page 2 of the official document. Key points:

  • It carries recent passport-size photographs of both the candidate and the authority holder.
  • It must state the candidate’s name, User ID, and General, NRI, Category and PWD Category merit numbers, along with the reason the candidate cannot attend.
  • The authority can be given to a mother, father, grandparent, brother, sister or guardian.
  • It must be signed by the candidate and the parent, along with the authority holder’s name, address, relationship, and phone and mobile numbers.
  • The person bringing the letter must carry valid ID proof (original and photocopy). Accepted IDs are Driving Licence, PAN Card, Passport, Election Card or Aadhaar Card.

What Happens to the Fees?

  • If the candidate takes admission in the 3rd round, the fees paid will be adjusted.
  • If the candidate does not take admission anywhere, the fees will be refunded after the admission process is completed.

Where to Find the Details

The notice was issued by the ACPUGMEC and ACPPGMEC office at Ground Floor, GMERS Medical College, Sector-12, Gandhinagar – 382016. Candidates should read the full procedure and download the authority letter format before visiting the Help Center.
