The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Government of Gujarat, has released its advertisement inviting online registrations for admission to 1st year undergraduate Medical and Dental courses for the academic year 2026-27. The committee, headquartered at GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, will handle admissions to Government, Grant-in-Aid, and Self-Financed Medical and Dental colleges across the state.
Who Can Apply
Candidates are eligible if they have:
- Passed 12th Standard (Science Stream with B/AB Group) from the Gujarat Board, or
- Passed from a school situated in Gujarat State affiliated to CBSE, ICSE (Council of Indian School Certificate Examination), Cambridge University, or NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling)
- Qualified NEET-UG 2026 with a valid All India Rank
- Met eligibility norms prescribed by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat, and the respective admission commission/council

How to Register
- Purchase the Online PIN from the official website: www.medadmgujarat.org
- PIN Fee: Rs. 1,000/- (non-refundable) + Rs. 10,000/- (Refundable Security Deposit) = Total Rs. 11,000/-
- After completing online registration, candidates must book a prior appointment for document verification and submit self-attested photocopies at a designated Help Center.
- The date and Help Center for document verification can be selected at the time of printing the Registration Slip.

Special Instructions for Local Quota Candidates
Candidates applying under Local Quota seats of the following institutes must obtain an additional local-student certificate:
- Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad
- Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education & Research (SMIMER), Surat
Such candidates must, in addition to online registration, obtain a certificate confirming they are local students of Ahmedabad/Surat city from the Dean of the respective institute — candidates should contact the college directly for this.
Join NEET News 2026 Special Instructions for NRI Candidates
NRI candidates must, after completing online application, submit a Demand Draft of Rs. 10,000/- in favor of “ACPUGMEC”, payable at Gandhinagar, as a processing fee. This DD must be submitted at the ACPUGMEC office, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, only.
