Merit Basis for Admission

Admissions will be made purely on merit, based on NEET UG 2026 All India Rank, as per the qualifying percentile. Candidates must also have secured the minimum cut-off percentile and score of NEET UG 2026 as per NMC/DCI/NCISM regulations.

Who Is Eligible for Round 3?

Eligible candidates:

  • Candidates who registered and filled choices but were not allotted a seat in Round 1 and 2
  • Candidates whose allotted seat was cancelled due to non-uploading of a valid reserved category certificate, resulting in conversion to General Category
  • Candidates who reported at the allotted institute in Round 1 and 2 and submitted willingness for “Float” (upgradation) in Round 3

Not eligible candidates:

  • Candidates not registered for counselling
  • Candidates who registered but did not fill choices/preferences
  • Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 and 2 but did not pay the requisite Part Academic Fee
  • Candidates who paid the Part Academic Fee and submitted willingness “Freeze”
  • Candidates who paid the fee and opted “Freeze/Float” but did not report at the allotted college
  • Candidates who have withdrawn their allotted seat from Round 1 and 2

Application Fee and Document Upload

The application fee is Rs 2,500 (non-refundable). Candidates can correct or edit their category, sub-category and region (based on the qualifying examination, i.e. Class 12 from a school or college in Delhi or outside Delhi). They must upload their educational testimonials, reserved category documents and NEET UG 2026 scorecard.

Since the Class 12 result has been declared, candidates must upload their Class 12 or qualifying examination marksheet to verify eligibility. Valid reserved category certificates are mandatory for claiming reservation. If valid documents are missing, the seat secured on the basis of the claimed category or region will be cancelled.

Important Note for Delhi Quota Candidates

Candidates who studied Classes 11 and 12 at a recognised school or college in Delhi and passed the qualifying examination from any school or college located in Delhi are eligible for Delhi Category/Quota seats. They must upload both their Class 11 and 12 marksheets in a single PDF. Candidates with a “compartment” in the qualifying examination will not be considered for admission.

Key Instructions for Candidates

  • Candidates must follow the timelines in the schedule (or any revised timelines). The university will not be responsible for any loss of seat due to non-payment of fees, incorrect region or invalid certificates.
  • Allotment will initially be made in the claimed category and region. Documents will be checked after allotment or upgradation and payment of the Part Academic Fee. Seats allotted due to a wrong region or invalid reserved category documents will be cancelled.
  • Part Academic Fee paid for one programme will not be adjusted in other programmes.
  • Provisional admission will not be given in result-awaited, compartment or supplementary cases.
  • Candidates and parents are advised to visit colleges before counselling to check location, hostel, transport and other facilities. Representations about allotted colleges being far from the place of residence will not be entertained.
  • If any information furnished by the candidate is found incorrect or false at any stage, the admission will be cancelled and all fees paid will be forfeited.

Candidates should read the UG Admission Brochure 2026-27 and check the official websites, www.ipu.ac.in and ipu.admissions.nic.in, for regular updates.
