JCECEB NEET UG 2026 Merit List Correction Notice Out

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released an important notice regarding correction in the State Merit List prepared on the basis of the NEET (UG) 2026 result. The notice, issued on September 21, 2026 (Advt. No. JCECEB/46/26-87), asks eligible candidates to submit fresh applications for correcting category and other particulars in the merit list.

Background

JCECEB had earlier published Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-47 dated August 6, 2026, for preparation of the State Merit List used to conduct the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Stray Vacancy rounds of online counselling for admission to State Quota seats in MBBS, BDS, and BHMS courses. Following this, the Board received representations from several candidates seeking corrections in their category and other details.

Key Points of the Notice

• Only representations submitted in accordance with Clause 7 of the original advertisement (dated 06.08.2026) will be considered.
• ST/SC/BCI(NCL)/BCII(NCL)/I&A (for EWS) certificates will be accepted only if issued by an officer not below the rank of Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) of Jharkhand State.
• All candidates whose names appear in the State Merit Lists published on September 7, 2026, must submit a fresh application if they seek any correction.

• Applications must clearly mention the required correction(s) and be accompanied by supporting documents.

The Board has made it clear that no request received after the deadline or without supporting documents will be entertained under any circumstances. All applications received will be scrutinised, and appropriate action will be taken by the Board.
