The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued a notice allowing eligible candidates to seek corrections in the State Merit List prepared on the basis of the NEET (UG) 2026 result. The merit list is used for counselling to MBBS, BDS, and BHMS seats under the state quota.
Background
JCECEB had earlier released an advertisement for preparing the State Merit List to conduct the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Stray Vacancy rounds of online counselling for state quota admissions. Following this, the Board received several representations from candidates asking for corrections to their category and other recorded particulars.
Who Can Apply for Correction
The Board has clarified that only representations submitted in line with clause 7 of the original advertisement will be taken up. Additionally, certificates for ST, SC, BCI (NCL), BCII (NCL), and I&A (for EWS) categories will be accepted only if issued by an officer not below the rank of Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) within Jharkhand State.

Candidates whose names appear in the State Merit List are required to submit a fresh application clearly mentioning the required correction(s), along with supporting documents.
