Jharkhand MBBS/BDS/BHMS 2026 Round 2 and 3 Revised Schedule Out

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB), Ranchi, has released the revised schedule for the 2nd and 3rd round of online counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses. The changes follow the direction issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, on the NEET UG 2026 schedule for the 2nd and 3rd round of state counselling.

The Board will hold the ongoing 2nd and 3rd round of online counselling for State, All India and NRI Quota vacant seats as per the new dates.

Round 2 Revised Dates

For the 2nd round, there is no change in the activities before the issue of the provisional seat allotment letter. Only the allotment and admission dates have been extended.

Seats Covered by the Revised Schedule

The revised dates apply to the following seats:

• State Quota vacant seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses
• Vacant 60% All India Quota seats and 15% NRI Quota seats in MBBS at Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College & Hospital, Palamu; Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital, Seraikela-Kharsawan; Sido Kanhu Medical College & Hospital, Dumka; and Birsa Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Khunti
• Vacant 60% All India Quota seats and 15% NRI Quota seats in BDS at Vananchal Dental College and Hospital, Garhwa, under Babu Dinesh Singh University, Garhwa

The 2nd round dates and the 3rd round dates for these seats are the same as those given in the tables above.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Upgradation: Candidates admitted in the 1st or 2nd round who want to change their course and institute against the remaining vacant seats may take part in the 3rd round. Upgradation of courses and institutes will be carried out only up to the 3rd round.
• Mandatory admission on re-allotment: If a seat is re-allotted in the 3rd round, the candidate must take admission in the newly allotted course and institute. The earlier admission will automatically stand cancelled, and the vacated seat will go to another candidate on merit-cum-choice.
• Change of category or quota: Candidates who apply for upgradation may also be moved to a different category or quota, depending on the actual vacancy and their merit.
• No fresh application for listed candidates: Candidates already included in the State Merit List do not need to submit an online application again.
• State Quota to All India Quota: A candidate admitted to a State Quota seat in the 2nd round who wants to join an All India Quota seat allotted in the 3rd round must surrender the State Quota seat. The candidate must submit a resignation to the admitting institute up to 03.10.2026, and the security money will be forfeited.
• Earlier advertisements: Advertisements JCECEB/46/26-47, JCECEB/46/26-52 and JCECEB/46/26-53 stand modified to this extent, and all other terms and conditions remain the same.
