Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Merit List Out

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB), Ranchi has released the State Merit List and Not Eligible List for the 3rd round of online counselling for admission under State Quota seats in MBBS, BDS, and BHMS courses for the academic year 2026.

About the Notice

As per the notification dated September 26, 2026, JCECEB has published two separate lists based on the NEET (UG) 2026 result for candidates participating in the 3rd round of state quota counselling:

1. State Merit List – for eligible candidates qualifying under State Quota seats
2. Not Eligible List – for candidates who could not be considered for this round, along with the reason for their non-eligibility

Not Eligible List: Common Reasons for Rejection

Candidates whose names appear in the Not Eligible List have been excluded from the 3rd round counselling process due to one or more of the following reasons:

• Category filled incorrectly: Candidates who filled “GENERAL” category in NEET UG 2026 application despite belonging to a reserved category (e.g., ST) were not entertained.
• Minimum qualifying percentile not obtained: Candidates who did not meet the minimum NEET UG 2026 qualifying cut-off percentile as per their category were declared ineligible.
• Subject-wise failure: Candidates who failed in Chemistry at the 10+2 level examination were excluded, as it is a mandatory qualifying subject for MBBS/BDS/BHMS admission.
• NEET category and state category mismatch: Discrepancies between the category declared in the NEET UG application and the State Category led to rejection in several cases.

• Candidates who believe there is an error in their category classification or documentation should contact JCECEB through the official grievance channel for clarification.
