Seats in the government merit category are further divided by category (such as C-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, ST, SCA, SCB, SCC and GM), and by General, Rural and Kannada medium groups. Candidates should read the full matrix for the exact seat numbers of each college.
Government Colleges in the Matrix
The matrix lists five government colleges:
- Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Bengaluru: 82 seats
- Government Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru: 84 seats
- Taranatha Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Ballari: 51 seats
- Government Ayurveda Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Shivamogga: 51 seats
- Government Homoeopathy Medical College and Hospital, Bengaluru: 83 seats
All the other colleges in the matrix are private, either aided or unaided. The largest private colleges have 100 seats each and include Rashmi Institute of Ayurveda Medical Science and Research Centre (Vijayanagar), Sri Kalabyraveshwara Swamy Ayurvedic Medical College (Bengaluru) and Adichunchanagiri Ayurveda Medical College (Nelamangala).

- College code and name
- Course (BAMS or BHMS) and course type
- Whether the college is government, private aided or private unaided
- Seats for the HK region and the Rest of Karnataka
- Seats under the General, Rural and Kannada medium groups
- Seats under special categories such as NRI, NCC, sports, defence, ex-defence, PH and Paramparika Vaidya
- Total seats
