KEA UGNEET 2026 Round 3 Corrigendum Issued Due to Bank Strike

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued a corrigendum (No. ED/KEA/CR-11/UGNEET/2026, dated 25 September 2026) to its earlier Round 3 seat allotment notice for UGNEET 2026. The corrigendum has been issued in view of the nationwide bank strike, which affects the caution deposit payment process for medical and dental seat allotment.

Revised Eligibility for Participation in Round 3

The corrigendum updates the eligibility criteria for candidates wishing to participate in Round 3 as follows:

Eligible candidates:

• Candidates who are not allotted any medical seat in Round 1 and Round 2.
• Candidates who have cancelled their medical/dental seat by paying the applicable penalty.
• Candidates who have been allotted a Medical/Dental seat in Round 1 and selected Choice-4.
• Candidates who exercised the ‘QUIT’ option before the final results of Round 2.
• Candidates who have already reported to a medical/dental college and wish to participate for up-gradation (as per recent Hon’ble High Court orders).

Not eligible to participate:

• Candidates allotted a Medical/Dental seat in Round 1 or Round 2 who failed to exercise their choice are not eligible to participate in Round 3.

Key Change: Extended Caution Deposit Deadline

The most significant update in this corrigendum is the revised last date for payment of the Caution Deposit for medical and dental courses:

This is an extension from the earlier notified schedule (24–28 September 2026), granted specifically due to disruptions caused by the ongoing bank strike affecting online/offline payment channels.

What’s Changed vs What Remains the Same

• New addition: Candidates who selected Choice-4 in Round 1, and those who exercised the ‘QUIT’ option before Round 2 final results, are now added to the eligible list for Round 3 – a change from the earlier 23 September notice.
• No change: KEA has clarified that there are no other changes to the original publication dated 23 September 2026 – all other rules, including option entry schedule, caution deposit amounts, and seat allotment procedure, remain as previously notified.

What Candidates Should Do

• Candidates falling under the newly added eligible categories (Choice-4 allottees, QUIT-option candidates) should note they can now participate in Round 3.
• All eligible candidates should complete their Caution Deposit payment by the revised deadline of 1 October 2026.
