KEA UGNEET 2026 Stray Round Fee Deadline Extended

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an update on the Online Stray Vacancy Round for Medical and Dental seats 2026 under UGNEET-2026. The notice, dated October 15, 2026, allows more candidates to take part in the round and extends the deadlines for fee payment and option entry.

What KEA Has Announced

Some candidates who do not currently hold a medical seat had asked to be allowed into the stray vacancy round. Considering these requests, KEA has permitted such candidates to participate, subject to payment of the “Medical Course Fee Deposit”, as notified earlier on October 8, 2026.

Who Can Benefit

The change is meant for candidates who are not currently holding a medical seat but wish to be considered in the stray vacancy round. Under the notice, they can join the round only after paying the Medical Course Fee Deposit within the time limit.

The fee deposit deadline falls two hours before the option entry deadline, so candidates should not leave either step for the last minute, as portal slowdowns are common close to cut-off times.
