Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 CAP Round 3 Registration Schedule Released

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released Notice No. 18 announcing the schedule for registration and Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Round 3 for admission to MBBS/BDS (Group A) courses for the academic year 2026-27.

Background

As per Notice No. 13 dated September 5, 2026, CAP Round 2 for MBBS & BDS (Group A) has been completed. Taking into account the schedule released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, for All India Quota (AIQ) and State Counselling, the CET Cell has decided to fill seats remaining vacant after Round 2 through CAP Round 3.

Note: The schedule for subsequent stray vacancy rounds will be announced separately. The above schedule is subject to change as per directions from MCC/AACCC/Central Government/State Government/Courts.

Key Instructions for Candidates

• Candidates already holding a seat or who were not allotted any seat in CAP 1 & 2 cannot register again.
• Candidates who cancelled or did not join their allotted seat in CAP Round 2 must unlock their application, resubmit the form, and pay the fee through candidate login to participate in Round 3.
• All choices/preferences filled during CAP Round 2 stand null and void; candidates must fill fresh preferences for Round 3.
• Candidates with “Joined” status in AIQ Round 3 will not be considered for CAP Round 3 or subsequent state counselling rounds.
• Joining an allotted CAP Round 3 seat is mandatory – candidates allotted a seat in Round 3 will not be considered for subsequent rounds, whether they join or not.
• PWD candidates must have claimed the quota at the time of NEET 2026 and submit a PWD eligibility certificate from an MCC-authorized medical board.
• EWS certificates must be valid for AY 2026-27 and issued strictly in the Maharashtra State Government format; central government format certificates will not be accepted.
• OBC/SEBC candidates: Caste Validity Certificate submission deadline extended up to six months from CAP registration date (as per GR dated 02.07.2026).
• SC/VJ/DT/NT-B/NT-C/NT-D/OBC/SBC candidates: Caste Validity Certificate deadline extended up to three months from the circular date (04.09.2026).
• NRI candidates must register on the Foreign Candidate Registration Portal before September 25, 2026, and are eligible only for 15% Institute Quota seats.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website www.mahacet.org for updates. In case of any discrepancy between the Marathi and English versions of the notice, the English version shall be treated as final and binding.
