MCC Counselling 2025: Schedule, Step-by-Step Procedure, Fees, and Required Documents

Now that the NEET UG 2025 results are out, students are eagerly waiting for the counselling process to begin. However, the official authorities have not yet confirmed the counselling schedule for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing admissions across India.

Who Can Participate in Counselling?

Students who have qualified for NEET UG 2025 must register on the official Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website to take part in the counselling process.

There are four major types of NEET counselling:

  1. All India Quota (AIQ) – 15%
    • Conducted by MCC.
    • Includes seats in Central Universities, Deemed Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, etc.
  2. State Quota – 85%
    • Managed by respective state counselling authorities.
    • Covers government and private colleges within the state.
  3. Deemed & Central Universities Counselling
    • Conducted by MCC for all seats in deemed and central universities.
  4. Private Medical College Counselling
    • Each private college or state authority handles it.
    • Based on NEET scores and sometimes additional criteria.

When Will Counselling Begin?

Usually, NEET counselling begins in July or August, about a month after results are announced. But as of now, no official dates have been released.

Eligibility for Counselling

To participate in the All India or State Quota counselling, candidates must have scored equal to or above the qualifying cut-off percentile set by the NTA.

How to Apply for MCC Counselling?

  1. Visit the official MCC website: https://mcc.nic.in
  2. Register with your NEET details.
  3. Pay the registration fee.
  4. Choose your preferred colleges and lock your choices.
  5. Wait for the seat allotment result.
  6. Report to the allotted college with all required documents.

Required Documents for NEET 2025 Counselling

  • NEET 2025 Admit Card
  • NEET 2025 Scorecard/Rank Letter
  • Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets
  • Valid ID proof (Aadhar/PAN/Passport/Voter ID)
  • 8 Passport-size photos
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • For NRI candidates: Passport, Embassy Certificate, Sponsorship & Relationship Affidavits

For Central Universities/AFMC/ESI:

  • UR/EWS: ₹1,000 + ₹10,000 = ₹11,000

What Happens During Counselling?

Authorities will verify your documents, category claims, and eligibility. You’ll need to be present during verification and follow the process carefully to avoid disqualification.

  • AACCC conducts All India counselling for:
    • BAMS, BUMS, BSMS (under NCISM)
    • BHMS (under NCH)

Prepare all documents in advance and understand your category, state quota, and options clearly.
