New Changes in NEET AIQ Counselling 2025

  • Four rounds of AIQ counselling: Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Round, and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round.
  • No upgradation allowed from Round 2.
  • Candidates securing seats in Round 2 cannot resign or join subsequent rounds.
  • Candidates who do not accept a seat in Round 2 must re-register for the Mop-up Round and forfeit their security deposit.

Seat Distribution: AIQ vs. State Quota

1. All India Quota (AIQ) – 15%

  • Includes reservation quotas for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PWD categories.

2. State Quota – 85%

  • Conducted by the respective state counselling authorities.

  1. Registration: Visit https://mcc.nic.in and register with your personal details.
  2. Choice Filling & Locking: Select preferred colleges and lock choices.
  3. Seat Allotment Result: Check the result on the MCC portal.
  4. Reporting to College: Download allotment letter and report to the allotted college with original documents.
  5. Upgradation Option: Can opt for seat upgradation in the next round if not satisfied.

Types of Counselling & Rounds

1. Round 1
