Clear Vacancy vs Virtual Vacancy: What’s the Difference?

• Clear Vacancy refers to seats that are confirmed and immediately available for allotment – these are actual vacant seats across institutes.
• Virtual Vacancy is a projected/simulated vacancy list that accounts for seats likely to open up as candidates who hold multiple/upgraded options vacate their current seats during the counselling process. It gives candidates a realistic sense of the total seats that could become available by the end of Round 3.
