New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the provisional seat allotment result for NEET UG 2026 Round 2 counselling on September 10, 2026. Candidates who registered and filled choices for the second round can now check their allotment status on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.
The Round 2 result covers seat allotment for MBBS, BDS and other applicable undergraduate medical courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed/Central Universities, ESIC institutes, AIIMS, JIPMER and other participating institutions.

Candidates can follow these steps to check their seat allotment status:
- Visit the official MCC website – mcc.nic.in
- Click on the NEET UG Round 2 provisional seat allotment result link
- Log in using registration number and password, or download the full PDF
- Check allotted institute, course, quota and category details
- Download and save the allotment letter for future reference

What the Result PDF Contains
The provisional result list includes, for every allotted rank:
- NEET rank and allotted quota
- Allotted institute and course
- Allotted category and candidate’s original category
- Remarks such as “Fresh Allotted,” “Upgraded,” “Reported,” or “Did not opt for upgradation”
The list also carries a quota abbreviation key (Open Seat Quota, All India Quota, Delhi University Quota, ESI Quota, NRI Quota, Muslim Minority Quota, AMU Quota, and others) along with category abbreviations such as GN, OBC-NCL, EWS, SC and ST, including PwD variants, to help candidates decode their allotment entry.
Objection Window and Next Steps
Since the result is provisional, candidates who spot any discrepancy in their allotment details are being given a same-day window to raise objections through the MCC portal before the deadline closes. Candidates satisfied with their allotment must report to the allotted institute within the schedule notified by MCC to complete document verification and admission formalities. Those who do not report or do not wish to accept the seat should follow MCC’s instructions on upgradation, resignation or waiting for the next round, as applicable.
Candidates who remain unallotted after Round 2 will get another opportunity in Round 3 and, subsequently, the Stray Vacancy Round, depending on seat availability.
