Shillong: The Directorate of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Meghalaya, has published the List of Eligible Candidates after Re-Counselling held on September 16, 2026, for admission into 1st Year MBBS (Central Pool seats and Shillong Medical College seats) and BDS course under State Quota, for the academic session 2026-27. The notification (No. DHSMER.150/MBBS Admission/2026-27/6101) is dated September 17, 2026, issued in pursuance of Government Order No. HEALTH.153/2026/123 dated September 17, 2026.
Category-Wise Allotment
The published list covers candidates allotted seats – with institution-wise allocation – across the following categories for MBBS:
- Unreserved Category
- Khasi & Jaintia Category
- Garo Category
- SC/OST Category
And for BDS:
- Unreserved Category
- Khasi & Jaintia Category
Candidates have been allotted to a range of institutions across India, including NEIGRIHMS Shillong, Shillong Medical College, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (Imphal), VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital (Delhi), Lady Hardinge Medical College (Delhi), Guwahati Medical College, Assam Medical College (Dibrugarh), Patna Medical College, and several other medical colleges across Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Jharkhand, along with Regional Dental College (Guwahati) and Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College (Kolkata) for BDS.
A Waiting List has also been published for each category for candidates not immediately allotted a seat.

Reporting Instructions
Selected candidates are directed to report to the Office of the Director of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Conference Room, Health Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, on 21st September 2026, from 11:30 AM onwards, for acceptance of the course and execution of the Bond-cum-Agreement.
Important instructions for candidates:
- Eligible candidates must be present in person along with one guardian only
- Candidates must bring 4 passport-size photographs
- Candidates who fail to report on the fixed date will automatically lose their right to nomination, and the next eligible candidate will be nominated
- All terms & conditions specified in the original advertisement remain binding
