Eligibility Criteria
- State Quota: Candidates must be Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste (including Other Scheduled Tribes and SC) of Meghalaya with a valid certificate, or a permanent resident holding a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) for General category.
- Academic Eligibility: Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology in Class 12 for General category; 40% for ST/SC/OST category. Candidates must be declared qualified in NEET UG 2026.
- Management Quota: Open to Indian citizens meeting the same academic eligibility criteria.
- NRI Quota: Applicants must upload a certificate from the Indian Diplomatic Mission confirming NRI status; admissions must comply with revised MCC Guidelines issued 27th May 2026.
- Age: Candidates must not be below 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
- Candidates must be certified medically fit by a Health & Family Welfare Department-constituted medical board; PwBD assessments must be done by NMC-recognised Medical Assessment Boards.

Counselling Procedure
Counselling for all State Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota seats will be conducted by the Meghalaya State Counselling Authority for Medical Education (MSCAME). Candidates must register online, and seat allotment will be based on NEET rank and applicable reservation criteria across multiple rounds.
Document verification requires original copies of the age proof certificate, NEET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card, domicile/PRC certificate (if applicable), Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, ST/SC certificates (if applicable), and passport-size photographs. NRI candidates must additionally submit passport and visa details, relationship documents, sponsorship documents, and MCC-prescribed affidavits.
As per MCC Guidelines 2026, candidates opting for Freeze must physically report for admission formalities, while those opting for Float retain their allotted seat and remain eligible for upgradation in later rounds without completing final formalities immediately.
Important Note
Furnishing false, fabricated or incorrect information at any stage will result in immediate cancellation of admission, a three-year debarment from state quota admissions, and potential legal/criminal proceedings against the candidate and, where applicable, their parents/guardian.
