The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to open the objection window for the NEET UG 2026 provisional answer key shortly after releasing the OMR response sheets on the NEET NTA official website. Candidates who appeared for the undergraduate medical entrance exam will be able to challenge the provisional answers online within the given deadline.
As per the usual process followed by NTA, the agency will first upload the candidate response sheets and OMR answer copies. After this, the provisional answer key and objection facility will be activated for students who wish to raise challenges against any answer they find incorrect.
NEET UG 2026 Objection Process
Candidates will have to:
- Visit the official NEET website (https://neet.nta.nic.in/)
- Log in using their application number and password/date of birth
- View the provisional answer key and recorded responses
- Select the question(s) they wish to challenge
- Upload supporting documents or references
- Pay the required objection fee online (200/Question)
The objection fee of Rs. 200 is to be charged per question challenged. The fee is usually non-refundable unless the challenge is found valid by the expert committee.
Result to Be Prepared After Reviewing Challenges
After the objection window closes, subject experts will review all the challenges submitted by candidates. If any correction is accepted, the final answer key will be revised accordingly. The NEET UG 2026 result will be prepared on the basis of the final answer key released by NTA.
