The National Testing Agency has given candidates one last chance to confirm, correct, or update their bank account details for the refund of the NEET UG 2026 examination fee. Through a public notice dated June 30, 2026, NTA has extended the refund portal window till July 7, 2026, up to 11:50 PM, making it clear this is the final opportunity for eligible candidates.
This extension applies specifically to candidates who appeared for the NEET UG 2026 examination held on May 3, 2026, which was subsequently cancelled by NTA. The agency had committed to refunding the examination fee paid by all candidates in view of that cancellation.
Why the Window Was Extended
NTA had originally opened the bank details submission portal through a public notice dated May 22, 2026, asking candidates to furnish their account information for direct credit of the refund. Following this, the agency received representations from several candidates who had entered incorrect bank account numbers and IFSC codes. In response, NTA reopened a correction window on June 25, 2026.
Now, to ensure no eligible candidate is left out, the agency has decided to extend the portal further till July 7, 2026, with a firm deadline of 11:50 PM. Candidates who have still not submitted or corrected their details must act before this window closes, as no further extensions have been indicated.

After completing two-factor authentication linked to their registered mobile number, they can access the refund link and submit or update their bank account details. Candidates may also upload a cancelled cheque if they wish to ensure the accuracy of their banking information.
Once bank details are submitted after two-factor authentication, they will be treated as final and no further changes will be entertained.
What Candidates Must Note
NTA has made it clear through the notice that this is the final opportunity. Candidates who miss this July 7 deadline will have no further recourse for claiming their refund through the portal.
