Odisha MBBS/BDS 2026: Provisional State Merit List Released

Cuttack: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) authority has released the Provisional State Merit List for MBBS/BDS Admission 2026-27, prepared after the completion of the second phase of registration. The list (No. OJEE/0482) is dated September 10, 2026, and has been signed by the Chairman, OJEE.

Candidates who registered for Odisha state counselling for MBBS/BDS courses, including those who newly registered in the second phase, can now check their rank in the provisional merit list on the official OJEE website.

How the Merit List Has Been Prepared

As per the notice accompanying the list, the following points are important for candidates to note:

• The merit list has been drawn based on the All India Rank of NEET UG 2026 and the documents uploaded by candidates during registration
• Candidates who registered afresh in the second phase have been given a rank with a decimal point
• Being listed in the State merit list does not guarantee seat allotment – allotment will depend on rank, choices filled, and seat availability as per category
• The list is purely provisional; all original documents will be verified during the reporting/admission process, and any deviation, tampering or forged document found will lead to cancellation of allotment and possibly cancellation of candidature

Category-wise Rank Details in the List

The merit list includes candidate-wise details such as NEET application number, domicile, category, and rank across multiple categories, including:

• General Category (GC) and State Rank
• EWS (EW_R), SC (SC_R), ST (ST_R) reservation ranks
• EBC/SEBC (EB_R) rank
• PwBD/PC candidates (PC_R)
• Ex-Servicemen (EX_R) category rank
• Sports and Games (SGS_R) rank
• NRI (NRI_R) rank

The list also clarifies that as per information received from SCB Medical College & Hospital (MCH), Cuttack, all eligible PwBD candidates have been assigned a PC rank, while ineligible PwBD candidates have been considered under the General Category.

Important Note for NRI Candidates

All merit-listed NRI candidates, if allotted a seat during counselling, must submit all original documents as per the MCC’s NRI notice at the time of reporting/admission.
