Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee, as the State Counselling Authority, has released the detailed Information & Instructions for Counselling & Admission to BAMS/BHMS Courses for the session 2026-27, conducted as per guidelines issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, NCISM, and NCH.
OJEE will conduct counselling for State Quota seats of BAMS/BHMS courses in all Government and Private institutions of Odisha, and – as per new Ministry of AYUSH guidelines – will also conduct counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats in two private Ayurvedic colleges: Sri Sri Nrusinghanath Ayurved College & Research Institute, Paikmal, Bargarh, and Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research Hospital, Arilo, Cuttack.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have qualified NEET (UG) 2026 with a valid rank
- Minimum qualifying percentile: 50th percentile (General); 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC; 45th percentile for General PwBD; 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC PwBD
- Candidates must be at least 17 years old as on 31.12.2026
- For State Quota seats, parents of the candidate must be permanent natives of Odisha (Nativity/Resident Certificate, Form-III required)
- No domicile certificate required for AIQ seats in Private Institutions
- Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology

Note: ST/SC candidates must produce Odisha-issued caste certificates only. AIQ seats of Private Institutes are open in nature, with category-wise relaxation in qualifying criteria.

Counselling Process (3 Rounds + SVR)
The counselling follows a Round-1 → Round-2 → Round-3 → Stray Vacancy Round (SVR) structure, with Freeze/Float options for upgradation, mandatory document verification at the OJEE Cell, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar, and forfeiture-linked withdrawal rules for candidates withdrawing after Round-3 allotment.
Documents Required
10th Board Certificate & Marksheet, +2 Science Pass Certificate & Marksheet, School/College Leaving Certificate, Nativity/Resident Certificate (Odisha), SC/ST Certificate (if applicable), Green Card (if applicable), and EWS Certificate (if applicable, for FY 2025-26 only).
