The Punjab NEET UG counselling authorities have released the seat matrix for Round 3 of MBBS and BDS admissions 2026. The matrix shows 322 vacant MBBS seats and 512 vacant BDS seats, listed college-wise, category-wise and quota-wise.

Quotas in the Seat Matrix

Seats are listed under the following quotas:

  • Govt. Quota: Government and government-run colleges, plus government-quota seats in private colleges
  • Management Quota: Private college seats
  • Open Quota: For example, Christian Medical College and Christian Dental College, Ludhiana
  • Minority Quota: For example, Sri Guru Ram Das Institute (SGRD), Amritsar
  • NRI Quota: Listed under Govt., Management, Open and Minority quotas, depending on the college
  • AIQ (All India Quota): Open Quota (AIQ), at the Christian colleges in Ludhiana

MBBS Seat Matrix Highlights

  • NRI seats dominate. Of 322 vacant MBBS seats, 175 are NRI seats. Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot has the most NRI seats (38), followed by Gian Sagar Medical College, Banur (23) and Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda (22).
  • Open category: 30 seats are vacant. Government Medical College, Patiala has 9 and Government Medical College, Amritsar has 8.
  • PWD: 59 seats are vacant across colleges.
  • Scheduled Caste: 14 seats are vacant. Adesh Institute, Bathinda has 6 under the Govt. Quota and 1 under the Management Quota.

BDS Seat Matrix Highlights

  • NRI seats: 214 of the 512 vacant BDS seats are NRI seats, and most private dental colleges show 15 each.
  • Scheduled Caste: 119 seats are vacant, mostly under the Management Quota. Desh Bhagat Dental College, Mandi Gobindgarh and Guru Nanak Dev Dental College, Sunam each show 13 SC seats under the Management Quota.
  • Open category: 12 seats are vacant. Government Dental College, Patiala has 3, and Government Dental College, Amritsar and Gian Sagar Dental College, Banur have 2 each.
  • PWD: 70 seats are vacant.

Important Points for Candidates

  • The PDF lists only vacant seats for Round 3, not total intake.
  • Many categories show zero vacant seats at several colleges, so check your own category and quota.
  • NRI seats make up more than half of the vacant MBBS seats and over 40% of the vacant BDS seats.
  • Follow the official counselling notices for the Round 3 choice-filling schedule, allotment date and reporting dates.

  2. Open the notices or MBBS/BDS counselling section.
  3. Click the “Seat Matrix for 3rd Round” link for MBBS or BDS.
  4. Check college-wise seats for your category and quota.
  5. Download the PDF and plan your choices.
