Punjab NEET UG MBBS Round 2: J&K Vacant Seat Allotted at Bathinda

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has released a provisional allotment notice for a vacant seat under the J&K category in Punjab NEET UG MBBS Round 2 counselling, Session 2026. The notice is dated 21 September 2026.

The allotment follows the judgment dated 18 September 2026 passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh in CWP-26785-2026 (O&M), Rachit Kotru vs State of Punjab and others. The vacancy arose under the J&K category against the Government Quota at Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda. BFUHS says the seat has been allotted strictly as per merit and the choices/preferences given by the candidate.

Important Conditions for the Candidate

BFUHS has stated the following conditions with this provisional allotment:

• The allocation is purely provisional and subject to verification and authentication of the original documents and certificates submitted by the candidate, along with determination of eligibility as per the applicable rules, regulations, prospectus and government instructions.
• A provisional allocation does not confer any right on the candidate to claim admission to the allotted course or college. Admission is subject to successful verification of all requisite documents.
• If it is found at any stage that the candidate has withheld, concealed, suppressed or misrepresented any material fact or information, or furnished any false, incorrect or misleading information or document, or has otherwise obtained the provisional allocation by fraud, misrepresentation or suppression of facts, the provisional allocation or admission shall be liable to be cancelled forthwith, without prejudice to any other action that may be taken under applicable rules or law.
