Chandigarh: The revised seat matrix for Punjab MBBS and BDS admissions has been released after the second round of counselling. It lists the seats still vacant in each college by category and quota. Candidates can use it to plan their choices for the next stage of Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2026.

MBBS Seat Matrix: Key Points

• NRI seats make up most of the vacancies. Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot (38), Gian Sagar (23), Adesh (22) and PIMS Jalandhar (21) have the largest numbers.
• Government quota open category: Government Medical College, Patiala has 5 vacant seats and Government Medical College, Amritsar has 2. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Institute (Mohali), Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Adesh have 1 each.
• PWD seats are vacant in almost every college, with the highest numbers at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot (9) and Government Medical College, Patiala (7).
• SC seats: Adesh has 6 vacant Govt. Quota seats. Sri Guru Ram Das Institute, Amritsar has 4 in the Open Quota.
• ESIC Medical College, Ludhiana shows no vacant seats in any category.
• Christian Medical College, Ludhiana has only 1 vacant Christian Minority seat (category 2E) and 8 NRI seats.

Punjab BDS Seat Matrix After Round 2

Vacant BDS seats are spread across most private dental colleges. Most of them are in the NRI and Scheduled Caste categories under Management Quota.

• NRI seats: Most private dental colleges have 15 vacant NRI seats each. Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha Dental College has 8 and Christian Dental College, Ludhiana has 6.
• Government dental colleges: Government Dental College, Amritsar has 3 NRI seats, 1 EWS seat and 1 SC seat vacant. Government Dental College, Patiala has 2 Backward Classes, 2 Open and 3 NRI seats vacant.
• SC seats under Management Quota: Desh Bhagat Dental College, Guru Nanak Dev Dental College and Sri Sukhmani Dental College have 13 each. Genesis Institute and RIMT Dental College have 12 each.
• Christian Dental College, Ludhiana: 7 seats are vacant in Christian Minority category 2A.
• PWD seats are vacant in many colleges under both Govt. and Management quotas.
