The State NEET UG Medical/Dental Counseling Board 2026, Rajasthan, operating from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, has released an urgent notice regarding the Round 1 seat resignation deadline. The notice, bearing reference number State-UG Counseling Board-2026/156.
Who Can Resign?
As per the official bulletin, candidates who joined a seat in Round 1 but were not upgraded during Round 2 counseling, or did not participate in Round 2, may resign from their Round-1 joined seat without forfeiture of the security amount. This facility is available only within two days of the declaration of the Round 2 result. Candidates who fail to resign within this window will be treated as joined candidates for Round 2, and the applicable rules will follow accordingly.
Resignation Process and Deadline
Eligible candidates must complete their withdrawal formalities through physical reporting at their respective allotted colleges on the following dates:
- September 15, 2026
- September 16, 2026
- Timing: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Candidates must ensure that the resignation letter or seat withdrawal slip is generated online through the official counseling portal of the college. The Board has clarified that resignations submitted without an online-generated slip will be considered invalid.
Important Deadline
No further requests for resignation or seat withdrawal will be entertained after 5:00 PM on September 16, 2026. Candidates who miss this deadline will be automatically considered as joined candidates for Round 2, and the rules for Round 2 will apply to them.
