Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026: Seat Resignation Starts Today

Jaipur: The Office of the Chairman, State NEET UG Medical/Dental Counseling Board 2026, SMS Medical College, Jaipur, has issued an office order allowing candidates to resign from their allotted seats following the declaration of the MCC NEET UG Round 2 result.

As per the notice (No. State-UG Counseling Board-2026/Spl-1, dated 10.09.2026), candidates who wish to withdraw from their allotted MBBS/BDS seats under the Rajasthan state quota can now do so within a fixed two-day window.

Resignation Schedule

According to the office order, candidates can submit their resignation at their respective allotted colleges as per the following schedule:

How the Resignation Process Works

The order clarifies the process candidates need to follow:

1. Candidates must physically report to their allotted college to initiate resignation
2. The resignation will be processed only upon the candidate’s physical reporting at the allotted institute
3. A resignation letter, downloaded from the college portal, will be handed to the candidate
4. All original documents deposited at the time of joining or reporting will be returned to the candidate along with the resignation letter

Why This Matters

This window comes right after MCC announced the NEET UG 2026 Round 2 provisional seat allotment result. Candidates who were allotted a seat in the Rajasthan state counselling and now wish to try for a different college or course in the upcoming rounds must complete this resignation process within the specified dates and timing, failing which they may not be able to withdraw later.

Candidates are advised to carry all original documents and check with their respective allotted institute for any additional formalities before reporting for resignation.
