The Directorate of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Meghalaya, has extended the deadline for online applications for admission into the 1st year MBBS course at Shillong Medical College (SMC), Pasteur Hills.
As per the notification, the online portal will remain open until 10:00 PM on September 14, 2025. Interested candidates are advised to visit the official website www.meghealth.gov.in for detailed information.
Candidates who had earlier applied for Central Pool MBBS seats also have the option to apply for seats at Shillong Medical College.

The screening of eligible candidates and document verification will be conducted on September 16, 2025, as scheduled. Meanwhile, the merit list (category-wise) will be published on the official website on September 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
This extension provides an additional opportunity for aspirants aiming to secure admission into Meghalaya’s new medical college for the academic year 2025-26.
