The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has extended the Tamil Nadu MBBS Round 3 joining date by one day. The notification (No. 33/SCS1(1)/2026) was issued by the Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Kilpauk, Chennai, on October 7, 2026.
Why the Date Was Extended
The Selection Committee said the change is based on representations received from candidates and its discussion with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

AIQ Candidates Will Be Removed
Candidates who have joined under the All India Quota (AIQ) up to Round 3 will be removed from the processing of the state Round 3 results.
What Candidates Should Do
- Fill and lock your choices before 5:00 PM on October 9, 2026.
- Check the result on October 12, 2026.
- Download the allotment order before 12:00 noon on October 15, 2026.
- Report to the allotted college before 5:00 PM on October 15, 2026.
