  • BHMS course options for both colleges will not be enabled for selection in the counselling process at present.
  • These options will be activated only after the colleges receive requisite permission from MARBH, NCH, New Delhi.
  • The decision is subject to applicable rules, regulations, and directions of competent authorities.

Why Permission Was Denied

1. Devs Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (50 seats applied)

MARBH’s inspection (20-21.05.2026) and hearing (12.06.2026) found multiple shortfalls, including:

  • Faculty deficiency: 16 teaching posts vacant across departments including Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Practice of Medicine, Surgery, Materia Medica, Repertory, Pathology & Microbiology, Pharmacy, and Forensic Medicine.
  • 13 registered teaching staff not marking attendance regularly on AEBAS; 4 staff not marking attendance at all.
  • No male yoga instructor available; hostel facility for boys and girls not available.
  • Hospital non-functional: Surgeon, Gynaecologist, Pathologist, and CMO not available; NABH/NABL accreditation missing; Lab and OT units non-functional.
  • Salary structure for teaching, non-teaching, and hospital staff not compliant with NCH norms.

2. Gurunanak Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (100 seats applied)

Inspection (20-21.05.2026) and hearing (10.06.2026) revealed:

  • Faculty deficiency: 15 teaching posts vacant against the required 40+1 across departments including Anatomy, Physiology, Materia Medica, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Practice of Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Community Medicine, and Repertory.
  • No male yoga instructor available.
  • Hospital shortfalls: NABH accreditation under process; deficiencies of General Physician, Surgeon, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Pathologist, 2 House Physicians, OT Nurse, Operation Assistant, Yoga Instructor, Physiotherapist, and Dietician.
  • Genuine functionality of Operation Theatre, labour room, and Clinical Teaching Room could not be established.

Based on these findings, MARBH has issued denial of permission to both colleges for BHMS admissions for 2026-27 under Regulation 8 of the NCH (Assessment and Rating of Medical Institutions) Regulations, 2024. Both colleges have the right to appeal to the Commission within 30 days of communication of the decision, as per Section 14(1) of the said Regulations.

What This Means for Candidates

Candidates participating in BHMS All India Quota counselling 2026-27 should note that these two colleges will not appear as selectable options on the counselling portal until further permission is granted. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official KNRUHS and AACCC counselling websites for updates on seat availability.
