Telangana MBBS/BDS 2026 Phase 2 Web Options

The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, Warangal, has issued a notification inviting eligible candidates to exercise web options for the Second Phase of Counselling for admission into MBBS/BDS courses under Management Quota (B & C/NRI Category) for the Academic Year 2026-27. The counselling covers affiliated Private Medical/Dental Colleges, Army College of Dental Sciences, and Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences (affiliated to Anurag University).

Who Can Apply

Candidates whose names appear in the final merit list of MBBS/BDS Management Quota published on KNRUHS’s website on September 9, 2026 (including subsequent addendums/corrigendums) are eligible. However:

• Candidates who were allotted seats in Phase 1 and have not reported or discontinued are not eligible to exercise web options.
• Candidates who did not exercise web options in Phase 1 are also not eligible in Phase 2 (to prevent seat blocking).
• Candidates who joined and are continuing their course from Phase 1 are eligible to exercise fresh web options.

Tuition fee is separate and payable directly to the respective college as per Telangana Government norms (G.O.Ms.No. 98).

Seat Matrix Highlights (Second Phase)

The seat matrix released alongside the notification lists vacant CAT-B (Local/UR) and CAT-C/NRI seats across 28 medical colleges and 11 dental colleges. Some notable vacancy pockets include:

• Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences: 8 Local, 89 UR, 13 NRI seats – the largest single block of vacancies
• Nova Institute of Medical Sciences, Hayathnagar: 12 Local, 4 UR, 38 NRI
• Chalmeda Ananda Rao Institute, Karimnagar: 5 Local, 4 UR, 18 NRI
• Father Colombo Institute, Warangal: 7 Local, 4 UR, 21 NRI
• Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad: 12 UR seats (reserved for wards of Army personnel)

Candidates are advised to check the complete seat matrix on the official KNRUHS/TS PVT MED ADM website before submitting options, since vacancies may increase further as candidates from Phase 1 slide to new seats.

Not-Reported Candidates List

KNRUHS has also released a list of 627 candidates who did not report for admission after being allotted seats in the First Phase of Management Quota counselling. This list spans a wide rank range across MBBS and BDS seats in both CAT-B and CAT-C/NRI categories, covering colleges such as Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences, Apollo Institute, Kamineni Academy, Mamata Medical College, Surabhi Institute, and several others.

As per the University’s regulations, candidates named in this list are not eligible to exercise web options in subsequent counselling phases, since failure to report is treated as seat blocking under KNRUHS norms.

Key Instructions for Candidates

• No limit on the number of choices candidates can select while exercising web options.
• A one-time password (6-letter alphabetic code) will be sent to the registered mobile number for login.
• If a new seat is allotted in Phase 2, the Phase 1 seat is automatically cancelled.
• Selected candidates must report to the respective college Principal, submit original certificates, and pay the tuition fee by the date specified in the allotment order — failure to do so cancels the admission automatically.
• Management Quota seats in Private Minority Colleges are reserved for Muslim Minority candidates, with up to 30% opened to non-minority students in the final phase if minority seats remain unfilled.
• Seats in Army College of Dental Sciences are reserved for wards of Army personnel under AWES regulations.
• Discontinuation penalty of ₹20 lakh applies for candidates who leave the course after free exit, as per government orders.
