The Selection Committee under the Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DME&R), Tamil Nadu, has extended the deadline for candidates under the Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category to upload their eligibility certificate.
What the Notification Says
As per Notification No. 014/SCS1(1)/2026, PwBD candidates must obtain their Eligibility Certificate from the Medical Assessment Board (previously known as the Regional Medical Board and Designated Disability Centres) at any one of the following institutions:
- Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai
- Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital, Thanjavur
- Madurai Medical College and Hospital, Madurai
- Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital, Coimbatore
Candidates are required to upload the certificate on the designated portal within the extended window.

Who Should Take Note
This extension applies specifically to candidates applying under the PwBD category who are yet to complete their certificate verification and upload process. Candidates are advised to complete their medical assessment at the earliest to avoid last-minute delays before the revised deadline.
