Government Medical Colleges (Government Quota): 4,048 Seats
A total of 4,048 MBBS seats are available across 36 government medical colleges. Madras Medical College Chennai, Madurai Medical College, Tirunelveli Medical College, and Stanley Medical College Chennai are among the largest, with 196–197 seats each.

ESIC Medical College (Government Quota): 90 Seats
ESI-PGIMSR, ESI Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai, has 90 seats under government quota, distributed as SC (28), SCA (24), ST (3), MBC (17), OC (14), BC (3) and BCM (1).
Self-Financing Medical Colleges: 3,350 Seats
Across 20 self-financing medical colleges, a total of 3,350 seats are available under government quota, management quota (including 50% MQ, minority – Christian/Malayalam/Telugu – and NRI categories). Trichy SRM Medical College, PSG Institute of Medical Sciences Coimbatore, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College Perambalur, and Tagore Medical College Chennai are among the largest, at around 238–241 seats each.
Private Medical Colleges: 575 Seats

Government Dental Colleges (Government Quota): 197 Seats
Tamil Nadu Government Dental College Chennai (79 seats), Government Dental College Pudukkottai (40 seats), and Government Dental College Cuddalore (78 seats) together provide 197 BDS seats under government quota.
Self-Financing Dental Colleges: 1,662 Seats
Across 18 self-financing dental colleges, a total of 1,662 BDS seats are available under government quota, management quota, minority and NRI categories, including 490 under 50% MQ. Colleges such as Adhiparasakthi Dental College Melmaruvathur, Ragas Dental College Chennai, and Tagore Dental College Chennai are among those listed.
IRT Ward Quota (Government Medical College): 30 Seats
Government Erode Medical College & Hospital, Perundurai, has 30 seats under the IRT Ward Quota, with 9 SC, 8 SCA, 1 ST, 6 MBC/DNC, 4 OC, 1 BC and 1 BCM.
