Seat Distribution Overview
The seat matrix covers colleges under three broad categories:
- Autonomous State Medical Colleges (Government)
- Other Government Medical Colleges and University-run institutions, including King George Medical University and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences
- Private Medical and Dental Colleges, including several with minority status (Muslim, Sikh, and Jain minority institutions)
Each college’s entry breaks seats down across Unrestricted (UR), Backward Class (BC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Economically Weaker Section (EW) categories, with further sub-splits for Open, Girls, Physically Handicapped, Ex-Servicemen, Freedom Fighter, and Non-Creamy Layer allocations.

- Total Government Seats: 4,615
- Total Private Seats: 10,600
- Grand Total Seats (MBBS + BDS): 15,215
All colleges listed in the matrix carry an “Approved” status as of September 2, 2026.
