The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has released the schedule for the 1st round of online counselling for admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses in the state’s government medical and dental colleges for the 2026 session, under state quota seats.
The counselling is open to eligible candidates who have qualified in NEET UG 2026, across General, PwD and Reserved categories, including SC/ST/OBC-MOBC (NCL), Moran/Motak/Tai Ahom/Chutia/Koch Rajbongshi, TGL/Ex-TGL and special categories such as Freedom Fighters, Martyrs of the Assam Movement, Extremist Violence victims, Ex-Servicemen and Serving Defence Personnel, Sports quota, and Orphan candidates. No separate offline counselling will be held for these seats.
Candidates belonging to the OBC/MOBC creamy layer must apply under the General category.
