Important Points for Candidates
- A fresh merit list will be published for each round of counselling
- Candidates who get upgraded after allotment in the first round can avail upgradation only in the second round, and only if they had filled the upgradation option on the portal
- EWS category eligibility will be determined strictly based on the category declared by candidates in the NEET UG 2026 result data provided by the National Testing Agency; no change to EWS category will be permitted during state counselling
- Candidates are advised to complete the process at least 24 hours before the deadline to avoid being declared ineligible due to errors such as incomplete applications or payment gateway failures
- Fee payment should be made through the candidate’s own bank account or that of a parent/guardian, and an alternate bank account should also be kept active for refund purposes
- After allotment, candidates must report to the allotted institute by the notified deadline for document verification; failure to do so will result in automatic exclusion from the current academic session’s counselling
- If a seat under Government/Private/NRI quota remains unfilled after allotment beyond the first round and the candidate does not join, the deposited registration fee will be forfeited
