Why They Were Suspended
The hospital receives a large number of patients, over 3,000 daily, and often needs to buy medicines directly when supplies from the central store fall short.
The vigilance team from ESIC headquarters investigated these purchases for four to five days. Investigators found serious lapses in how medicines and equipment were bought and supplied. These irregularities reportedly led to shortages for patients and possible financial loss.
The vigilance team has seized all purchase and stock records and sent them to headquarters for further examination.
