The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released detailed notices for online counselling for MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses. The counselling is being organised in compliance with directions issued by the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Ranchi, for admission to All India and NRI quota seats in private medical and dental colleges of the state.
Colleges Covered
Counselling under Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-52 covers MBBS admission in Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College & Hospital, Bishrampur, Palamu and Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital, Adityapur, Seraikela-Kharsawan. Counselling under Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-53 covers BDS admission in Vananchal Dental College and Hospital, Garhwa, under Babu Dinesh Singh University, Garhwa.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission, or attain that age on or before 31 December 2026, with no upper age limit. They must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually, with a minimum of 50 percent marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology at the qualifying examination, as per NMC and DCI regulations. For SC, ST and OBC (NCL) candidates, the minimum required is 40 percent, and the same relaxation applies to PwBD/PwD candidates. Candidates must also hold a valid rank in the NEET UG 2026 merit list. Candidates applying under the NRI quota need to fill a separate format and produce original certificates at the time of admission.

Important Points on Security Money
The security money will be forfeited if admission is not taken after seat allotment in the second round and subsequent rounds. It will also not be refunded in case of admission cancellation due to wrong information given at registration or non-submission of required original certificates. The amount will be refunded if the candidate has taken valid admission, or if no seat is allotted at any stage of counselling. Refunds will be credited to the same account used for payment, within three months of the last round of counselling.

- Click on “Click here for All Online Application Submission – JCECEB 2026” tab
- Fill the online application form for inclusion in the merit list (if not already applied)
- Candidates who have already applied for the merit list are not required to apply again for subsequent counselling rounds
- For seat allotment, click on “Click here for All Online Counselling-2026” on the same website
- Register and fill choices for seat allotment as per the round-wise schedule
- Download the provisional seat allotment letter once issued
- Visit the concerned institute for document verification and admission within the given dates
Things to Remember
Counselling will be conducted as per the guidelines of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Any change in guidelines will lead to a revised schedule and terms, which will be notified by the Board accordingly.
